Lauren graduated from college and was trying to decide what she wanted to do next. Lauren asked Dr. Bruner if she could come and shadow him in his orthodontic office. So Dr. Bruner invited Lauren to the office where they spent some hours seeing patients and talking about orthodontics. They went to lunch and talked the about the possibilities of a career in dentistry. It wasn’t long before Lauren started working in the office as a Bruner Orthodontic team member.

New to the orthodontic world, Lauren quickly learned about orthodontics and dentistry. More than just technical things, Lauren learned about providing first-class customer service and honed her communication skills. Lauren mastered her role as scheduling coordinator. Soon, Lauren had taken over as our financial coordinator. She managed all of the accounts receivable for our growing orthodontic practice. Lauren was really enjoying orthodontics and she began getting ready to apply for admission to dental school. 

When it was time to launch Lauren into dental school, Dr. Bruner and the rest of our team could not have been more proud of her. The friendship they began at Bruner Orthodontics had grown into a meaningful, lifelong friendship. Lauren got married last summer between her first and second years of marriage. There were so many memorable moments with our patients in 2016. We celebrated with our patients that were starting and those that were completing orthodontic treatment. Along the way we had tons of fun engaging our patients in contests and games.

As a team we celebrated in our usual way…having fun togehter. Dr. Bruner planned a surprise evening for us that included Wine Tasting at Lauren Ashton Cellars, a delicious dinner at Mama Melina’s, and creating beautiful things together at Seattle Glass Blowing. Purposefully our team loves these events where we grow together, laugh together and create together. That’s part of why we love serving you together. Thanks again. See you soon at the office!

Our office was packed with smiling faces of patients having a great time. This year we had four patient winners. We extended the contest with an additional round for parents to compete and ended up with both father and son winning big. They certainly showed their prowess on the Bruner Basketball Hoop! We hope that you all enjoy your iPads and Beats headphones!

Building relationships with each other, our patients and the community is one of our core values. The community came out to support the contest and our patients! Jamba Juice provided refreshing smoothies while Great Harvest baked up and shared their delicious cookies… and everyone won!

Our celebration dinner was at Matt’s Rotisserie in Redmond. There was a lot of great food and it’s always fun to get that many RDHs together. Giving back to our community is one of the many things  Dr. Matt Bruner and Dr. Lindsey Helgen love to do. On this evening they lectured about Modern Smile Design using Braces and Invisalign.

At Bruner Orthodontics we are always trying to achieve the best results for our patients. We love to learn and to teach. And we love to have fun. Dr. Bruner had shirts made for our beloved RDHs that said, “TRUST ME, I’M A DENTAL HYGIENIST.” And nothing could be more apropos. You see our patients love the hygienists and they do trust them. Everyone loved their new shirts and is wearing them with pride!

While it can be more challenging to brush with braces than without, taking care of your teeth is a prerequisite for orthodontic treatment.
