20 years ago it was not uncommon to hear of comprehensive orthodontic treatment taking 2 to 4 years.Today, at Bruner Orthodontics in Redmond, we usually can achieve ideal results in about 18 months!

While it is true that orthodontics is faster today than it has ever been, we also want to be efficient and respectful of a patient’s time and of their busy schedules. Therefore we are also focused on the number of appointments needed to get a patient from start to finish. Many practice management articles published in the AJODO (American Journal of Orthodontics) and the JCO (Journal of Clinical Orthodontics) have studied practice efficiencies that include the number of appointments needed for orthodontic treatment.  A good goal for Orthodontics in 2013 is to have 18-20 regular appointments to complete comprehensive orthodontic treatment. In a recent study at Bruner Orthodontics during the summer of 2012 it was determined that our patients 13 regular appointments to complete their orthodontic treatment!
